A market-leading property practice in Leicester is seeking an ambitious Architectural Assistant to join their expanding team. The firm specializes in bespoke residential projects, rental property adaptations, and new builds (up to £2M) tailored specifically for clients who are disabled through personal injury or clinical negligence. They take a problem-solving, highly empathetic approach to deliver life-changing, high-quality living environments across the UK.

Role Overview

This is an exciting, hands-on opportunity within a highly rewarding sector. Working closely with Senior Architects and project leaders, you will support the end-to-end design and delivery of bespoke residential projects, developing your technical skills while contributing to life-changing architectural solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of design proposals, detailed drawings, and planning applications.

  • Support the delivery of bespoke residential adaptation projects from concept through to completion.

  • Collaborate with the wider design team to ensure high standards and compliance with quality procedures.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and Planning/Building Control Authorities.

  • Help conduct site visits and surveys across the UK alongside senior team members.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education & Design Skills: Degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology (RIBA Part 1 or Part 2 preferred, or equivalent experience).

  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AutoCAD; strong visual communication and drawing skills.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with UK Building Regulations and an interest in accessible or inclusive design principles.

  • Attributes: High attention to detail, proactive problem-solving mindset, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Mobility: Full driving licence and willingness to travel for occasional site visits across the UK.

  • Desirable: Experience with NBS Specification or previous involvement in residential adaptation projects; willingness to undergo a DBS check.
